STUDENT ANNOUNCEMENTS

Congratulations to the Student of the Week – Cortney Quist.

 

First semester exams begin tomorrow.  Exam schedules are posted in classrooms and the hallway. Academic intervention classes will be cancelled this week.  Friday is a half day of school with the high school dismissing at 11:40 a.m.

 

The academic intervention schedule has changed for second semester.  The new schedule is posted in classrooms and the hallway.

 

Class meetings are scheduled for this Thursday to distribute second semester schedules.  Students will be dismissed at 3:05 to go to the following locations: 

 

9th  grade – gym/north end

10th grade – auditorium

11th grade – gym/south end

12th grade – library

 

Juniors - 50/50 ticket sellers are needed for this Friday.  See Mrs. Clous or Mr. Bongard to help.

 

SENIORS – If you haven’t already seen Ms. Gilson to confirm your legal name for your diploma, do so asap!  This information must be submitted to Jostens by January 16, so it is important that you see her this week before school, after school, or during lunch.

 

There will be a Black Light Dance this Friday after the basketball game!  The dance will start after the game and end at 11:00 p.m.  Wear light colored clothing!  Cost is $5. Mr. Peterson will allow visitors to attend. 

You must register your guest in the office by 3:30 p.m. this Friday.  Same rules apply.  Your guest must be under the age of 20.

 

Science tutoring is scheduled after school today in Mrs. Clous’ room.

 

Algebra tutoring is scheduled after school today in Mrs. Peterson’s and Mrs. VanderBrook’s classrooms.

 

English tutoring is scheduled after school today in Ms. Morse’s classroom.

COUNSELOR’S CORNER

 

Seniors – local scholarship applications are due by 3:30 p.m. Friday, January 23!

 

The annual Careers for Women conference, sponsored by CTC, will be held on Tuesday, February 3 at the Fox Hill Event Center.  If you are interested, sign up in Mrs. Richardson’s office.

 

Seniors - you should be working on your FAFSA for financial aid.  If you need information, see

Mrs. Richardson.  Baker College will be offering FAFSA assistance Sunday, February 8 from 2–4 p.m. in their Learning Center.  Bring your tax information and they will help you get it filed.

 

ATHLETICS

 

JV/Varsity girls basketball at McBain, bus departs at 5:00 a.m., game starts at 6:00 p.m.

 

ATHLETES – sports pictures are schedule for Wednesday, January 13 (tomorrow) in the gym after school. 

Go to the gym immediately after class is released and change into your uniform.  Wrestling team – your pictures are scheduled for January 22.
