STUDENT ANNOUNCEMENTS

Ms. Ellis and Mrs. Scott would like to meet with the freshmen student council members next Tuesday, October 4 at 7:50 a.m. in Ms. Ellis’ lab.  This meeting will only take a few minutes!

 

Students are no longer allowed to be on the property of the Free Methodist church before school, at lunch, or after school, due to inappropriate and disrespectful behavior and littering.  This is private property and will now be patrolled.

 

This is the last day to pick up a yearbook for $35.  The price will go up next week, so order one today to get the sale price! We will not be ordering extras! 

Seniors – Jostens will be here Monday morning to hand out senior information packets in the auditorium.  An announcement will be made when they are ready for you. 

Courtesy Driving School classes start in October.  Pre-registration is required. Brochures are available in the office.

Parent-Teacher conferences are next week Wednesday and Thursday, October 5 and 6.  Conferences are in teacher classrooms from 5-7 p.m. on Wednesday and from 12:30-3:30 and 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Thursday.  Wednesday will be a half-day of school and there will be no school for students on Friday, October 7.

 

COUNSELOR’S CORNER                                                                                                               

 

There will be a college visit for juniors and seniors to Central Michigan University.  We will be taking a bus to CMU where they will present of an overview of the college, a walking tour and lunch.  Students will be gone all day and it will be school excused.  If you are interested in attending, please sign up in the office.  You must provide an email address and follow a link to register.  You must register online in order to go by Wednesday, October 5.  See Mrs. Richardson or Mr. Fairbrother with questions.

 

Financial Aid Night for seniors and parents will be held on Wednesday, October 5 from 6-7 p.m. in the auditorium.  FAFSA opens October 1.  Financial Aid specialists will be here to explain the entire FAFSA process.  The library will also be open one hour before and after the presentation, for students and parents to bring in their information and get help with completing the FAFSA.  See

There will be sign-up sheets in the office next week for CMU and U of M.  Central Michigan University will be here Wednesday, October 5 at 1:30 p.m. in the library.  A representative from University of Michigan will be here Thursday, October 6 at 8:30 a.m.
