50/50 ticket sellers are needed for the boy’s game on Thursday and the girl’s game on Friday.  Please let Mrs. McNalley or Ms. Morse know if you can sell tickets.

 

There will be a prom committee meeting this Wednesday during lunch in Ms. Morse’s room. There is a lot to plan and talk about. Grab your lunch and come on down.

 

Math tutoring this week will be with Mr. Thom on Wednesday from 3:30-4:15 p.m. in his computer lab.

If you have a prom dress or accessories that you would like to donate, 107.9 WCDY is having their Gown Town event again.  Places in the area will collect gently used times and then they will be given away at the event.  Take all donations to Mrs. Richardson.  Ask your friends and relatives as well.  Listen to 107.9 for more details!

 

Seniors – the MEA scholarship application must be to the MEA office by this Friday.  The Wexford-Missaukee Retired School Personnel scholarship applications are to be to Mrs. Brandt by Wednesday, February 15.  The ZLP4 and Gary McGiness scholarship applications are due to Mrs. Richardson by March 1.  There aren’t many scholarship deadlines left.  Check out the school website for any that come in.

Girls JV/Varsity basketball vs Evart, home, 6:00 p.m.

 

There will be a mandatory meeting for all boys planning on playing baseball this spring on Thursday, February 9 at 12:15 p.m. in the auditorium.  This meeting is not optional guys.  If you are unable to be in school that day, see Ms. Gilson asap.

Seniors – again, we are in need of about four students to do the 50/50 raffle at the boys basketball game next Tuesday night.  If you can help please see Mrs. Peterson or Mrs. Atkins right away.  We need a little bit of money to finish off your senior trip.

 

Math tutoring is scheduled for today from 3:30-4:15 p.m. in Mrs. VanderBrook’s room.

 

SENIORS – If you would like to order a senior t-shirt, the cost is $10 - pay Mrs. Peterson or Mrs. Atkins.  The money, along with your size, must be turned in by Feb. 1.  We will place the order on Feb. 2.  Also – ideas for who your class would like as a graduation speaker need to be turned in to Mrs. Peterson by Feb 1.  Once all suggestions are in we will vote.

If you would like to make a schedule change for second semester, fill out a schedule change form, located outside of Mrs. Richardson’s office.  The master schedule is posted in the hallway.  Check the schedule to make sure the charges you want will work, and then get the form signed and turn it in to the office.  You will receive a new schedule once changes are made.  Change requests are due by 3:20 on January 17.

Camp Rotary counselor applications are available in the office.  Stop in the office during lunch or before or after school to pick one up.  The required items listed on the application must be returned to the high school office by January 27.

 

COUNSELOR’S CORNER

 

If you would like to make a schedule change for second semester, fill out a schedule change form, located outside of Mrs. Richardson’s office.  The master schedule is posted in the hallway.  Check the schedule to make sure the charges you want will work, and then get the form signed and turn it in to the office.  You will receive a new schedule once changes are made.  Change requests are due by 3:20 on January 17.

 

Junior girls – there is going to be a Careers for Women Conference at Fox Hill in Cadillac on February 7.  It is all day and lunch is provided.  It is a great opportunity to hear about different careers for women and to listen to some great speakers.  Sign up in Mrs. Richardson’s office if you are interested by Friday, Feb. 3.  Space is limited.

 

Sergeant Aittama from the Marines will be here Thursday, January 19, to meet with any junior who would like to hear about the NROTC program and scholarship opportunities.  There is a sign up sheet in the office.  Please sign up during lunch or before or after school.

BASEBALL – boys interested in playing baseball this spring need to sign up with Ms. Gilson by Friday, January 13.  It is very important that anyone interested signs up so we can determine the number of athletes for both the JV and varsity level.

There will be a short class meeting from 3:10-3:20 p.m. today.  We will distribute second semester class schedules. Afternoon CTC students - you are to report to room 11 as soon as you return today to pick up your schedule.  All others report to the following locations:
