Congratulations to Zoe McElroy and Madelynn McLeod our Students of the Week.

 

SENIORS – if you are interested in ordering a senior shirt they are $9 for a short sleeve and $12 for a long sleeve.  You must pay for your shirt before the order is sent.  Deadline for senior shirt orders and class dues is Thursday, April 2.  If you are planning on going on the senior trip, you need to pay your dues.  If you are not sure how much you owe, get with Bradley Atkins or your advisors.

 

Juniors - Yankee Candle orders will be here next week.  Your advisors will let you know Monday what day that is so you can make some arrangements to get them home and delivered.

 

COUNSELOR’S CORNER

 

There will be a short Go To team meeting 2nd hour in Mrs. Peterson’s room Monday, March 23.

 

There will be a representative from Northwestern Michigan College in the library Thursday, March 26 at 12:35 p.m.  You may sign up in the office before school, after school, or during lunch.

 

Sophomores – there are still a few openings for the MY LEAD conference held in May and June.  This is a great opportunity and there is no cost.  If you are interested, see Mrs. Richardson ASAP.

 

Schedule requests and changes need to be done by the end of next week.  See Mrs. Richardson on Monday if you have any questions.

Love Inc. has started Precious Pearls Boutique, offering special occasion loaner dresses for students who want to borrow a dress for prom or other special occasions.  It is located in Manton.  For more information call 779-1888.

 

The ASVAB test will be given at CTC on Tuesday, March 24. Students interested in taking it may do so at no charge.  You will ride the CTC bus over, stay all day, and ride the bus back.  The ASVAB test is a series of 8 short tests that help you identify your skills in a variety of areas.  You then get a career exploration summary of your strengths to help make your career decisions.  Sign up in the office by the end of the day Friday, March 20 to take the test.  You will be responsible for getting the work you miss ahead of time

Golf practice will be at the Missaukee Golf Course today after school from 4:00 to 5:30.

8th Grade Greenfield Village Trip The money for Greenfield Village is due by March 26th.


3 on 3 Basketball Tournament Opportunities There are three different "3 on 3" tournaments available for basketball enthusiasts:

1. 10th Annual Reed City 3 on 3 Tournament held on Saturday, March 21

2. Return of the Evart Slam & Jam-3 on 3 Tournament held on Saturday, March 28

3. NMC 3 on 3 Tournament is Saturday, April 18

The American Red Cross and the National Honor Society will be hosting a spring blood drive on     Friday, March 27 in the high school gym from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

SENIORS – pictures for the 2015 graduate composite will be taken Thursday, February 19 from

7:45 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.  Pictures will be taken in groups of 5-6 students at a time.  Stay in class until the photographer’s assistant calls for you.  Seniors attending morning CTC are to report to the

auditorium before leaving for CTC or immediately upon returning.

 

English tutoring is scheduled after school today in Ms. Bernier’s room.

 

Algebra tutoring is scheduled after school today in Mrs. Peterson’s and Mrs. VanderBrook’s rooms.

Congratulations to the Student of the Week – Cody Laskowski.

 

Vocal group will meet in the foods room today after school.

 

Student Council – you have a meeting during lunch today at 12:10 in Mrs. VanderBrook's room.

 

Mr. Lake City is scheduled for Saturday, March 14 at 7:00 p.m. in the high school gym.  Sign up will be held during lunch hour today and tomorrow.  There will be a limited number of spots, so sign up right away.  Contestants will need to fill out an information sheet to be turned in Wednesday, February 18.  

 

Seniors – there will be a short class meeting tomorrow at 3:00 p.m. in the library.

 

Saturday is Valentine’s Day, and love is in the air. But what if your soul-mate was just around the corner and you had no idea? Well, for $2 you can buy the results of the MatchMaker survey everyone filled out in January. They will be available at lunch this week only. You never know, maybe true love awaits.
