The blood drive is in the gym today.  Please remember to bring a picture ID.  If you are 16 years old you will need to have a signed parent permission slip to donate today. 

 

Congratulations to the Student of the Week – David Mund.

 

Sophomores - you will be having a can drive fundraiser on Saturday, December 3.  Talk to family and friends about saving returnables for the Class of 2012.  We will start at 10:00 in the morning.

The Missaukee County Road Commission would like to share this message with parents and students – “The Missaukee County Road Commission requests your cooperation through the winter months while snowplowing is taking place.  We ask that you be aware of the fact that the plows are on the roads many mornings at the same times that the buses are picking up students. We urge you to make sure that your children wait a safe distance from the plowed portion of the roadway until the bus actually arrives at their stop.  It is important that we work together to make certain of their safety.”  If you have any questions regarding the above or any other snow removal problems, feel free to call Kelly Bekken, manager, Missaukee County Road Commission 839-4361.

Sophomores and seniors are neck-and-neck in the race to the Spirit Trip, but the freshman and juniors are still within striking distance. The opportunities to get spirit points are dwindling, so get all you can by helping those less fortunate.

ATHLETICS

 

It will be a busy two days for our Trojan athletes.  The JV and varsity volleyball teams will be competing in their respective conference tournaments tomorrow.  The varsity team will play

at Manton, tournament begins at 9:00 a.m., and the JV will play at NMC at 9:00 also. 

 

The cross country team will be running in the MHSAA Regional meet at Benzie Central. 

The girls’ race begins at 10:45 a.m. and boys’ race begins at 1:00 p.m.

 

The varsity football team goes up against Traverse City St. Francis at Thirlby Field in Traverse City tonight.  This is the first round of playoff competition.  The game begins at 7:00 p.m.

 

BASKETBALL SHOE SIZING – Mr. Parker, the rep from Top Cat, will be here Monday, October 31

to size you for basketball shoes.  Meet in the auditorium after school. It is not mandatory that you

purchase your shoes from Top Cat.  Information flyers will be available – pick one up from the athletic
