GENERAL

Seniors – All library fines or money due must be paid before May 22.

 

Attention all students – The full balance on your yearbook must be paid today, Friday, May 15.  If you aren’t sure how much you owe, see someone in yearbook class or Mr. Nederhood.

 

The Spirit Trip is Monday, 5/18.  Remember to dress for the weather, bring spending money, and plan for a way home at about 11-11:30pm.  We will be leaving the school right after 2nd hour.  If you aren’t planning on going, see Mrs. Richardson or Mrs. VanderBrook right away.

 

Ms. Main has DVD copies of Oscar Night and Forensic Parent’s Night.  To get a copy you will need to bring in a new DVD-R in a jewel case.

 

There will be a junior class meeting Monday, May 18 at 3:00 in the auditorium.

 

Attention junior class officers – You have a meeting with the Josten’s rep on Tuesday, 5/19 at 8:15am in the library.

1)  Seniors – This time of year gets very busy for you and it is important that you keep track of dates and deadlines.  a)  Your caps & gowns will be distributed tomorrow, Wednesday, May 13 at lunch in the lobby.  b)  All seniors wishing to participate in Baccalaureate meet in Mr. Sarau’s room on Wednesday, May 13.  Get your lunch and come down for the meeting.  We’ll be finalizing all the plans.  d)  Any library fines or money due must be paid before May 22.  e)  Semester exam exemption forms for seniors only are available in the pockets outside the office.  They must be turned in by 3:30pm, Thursday, May 14.

4)  Sophomores:  Pizza sales must be discontinued because of a change in shipping dates.  We won't be able to accept a June 5 ship date because we will be out of school.  Please return money to people and let them know that it's it out of our control but that we will sell again in the fall.

5)  North Star Driving School will be conducting a Segment I class beginning June 8 at the High School. Information is in the information box by the office.

6)  The list of performers for Senior Oscar Night will be posted on the Student Council bulletin board in the Science wing and on Mrs. Richardson’s window by lunch today.  If you auditioned, please check the list to see if you are scheduled to perform.

GENERAL

The Kiwanis Summer Swim Program is looking for a Lifeguard for 6 weeks during July and August.  You must be certified and pay is dependent on experience.  If you are interested, contact Charlie Parsons at 839-2266.

 

All seniors going on the senior trip need to meet in Mr. Bongard’s room today for a short meeting at 11:55.

 

Sophomores:  There will be a short class meeting today in Mrs. Phillips' room at 3:10.

 

 

COUNSELOR’S CORNER

Challenge of the Week - Notice if your attitudes are lifting you up or tearing you down.

 

The Huron-Manistee National Forests will be filling 2 Youth Conservation Corps positions at the supervisor’s office in Cadillac for the summer.  Positions will be full time, not to exceed 8 weeks, June 22nd – Aug. 14th, $7.40 per hour.  Applications will be taken at the Cadillac office May 2nd – May 21st.  See Mrs. Richardson for applications.

 

Seniors who are attending Michigan State next fall, see Mrs. Richardson right away for a local scholarship application!
