SENIORS – pizza/cookie dough orders will be arriving today at approximately 12:30 p.m.  They will be okay until after school, but not after practice.  You may not take large orders on the bus.  Please make arrangements to have them picked up.  Thanks for all your hard work.

 

After-school tutoring will be held on Wednesdays from 3:30-4:30 p.m. in room 13.  NHS students will be there to help.  If you attend tutoring, you must have school work and work the entire time you are there. This is a great opportunity to work on your school work and get help if needed.

 

The varsity club is accepting applications for membership.  Pick up an application from the athletic wall pocket and return to Mr. McGiness by 3:30 p.m. TODAY.

After-school tutoring will begin this week.  It will be held on Wednesdays from 3:30-4:30 p.m. in

room 13.  NHS students will be there to help.  If you attend, you must have school work and you must work on it the entire time you are there.  If you don’t have school work, you don’t need to be there.  This is a great opportunity to work on your school work and get help if needed.

The library has discarded several non-fiction books and they are now available for students to take home.  Come to the library to look at the stack of books on the second center shelf to see if there is a book or two you may want to own.

Mrs. Vanderbrook and Mr. Thom would like to thank everyone for making Spirit Week and Homecoming such a success. Congratulations to King Troy Hutchinson and Queen Rachel Rosekrans.

 

This year’s homecoming floats were some the best in many years. Seniors took first, Juniors second, Freshman third, and Sophomores last. In the race to the Spirit Trip this coming Spring, Seniors are currently in the lead with 140 Spirit points, Juniors have 121, Freshman have 97, and the Sophomores have 88. Individual and Class totals can be found outside Mr. Thom’s room.

 

There will be a short Student Council meeting Wednesday at lunch in Mrs. Vanderbrook’s room.

 

The high school band will perform tonight at 7:30 p.m. at the Cadillac Marching Review.  Come and support the band!  Band membersyour bus leaves at 5:00 p.m. tonight. 

 

SENIORS – there will be a short meeting with the Josten’s representative on Friday, October 8 to discuss graduation announcements.  All seniors are to report to their 1st hour class for attendance and then report directly to the auditorium.  

 

SENIORS - Congratulations on your 1st place finish in floats and spirit week!  Everyone came together and made it a very memorable homecoming.  You guys rock!  Let’s keep the spirit up for an awesome senior year.   – Ms. Phillips and Ms. Bernier

Any freshman that didn’t get their middle school yearbook and would still like a copy may purchase one in the high school office for $13.00.

 

The transportation supervisor would like to remind students to go directly to the buses after dismissal to assure buses leave on time.

The High School library has discarded several non-fiction books and they are now available for students to take home should you find something that sparks your interest.  Come to the library to look at the stack of books on the second center shelf to see if there is a book or two in there you may want to own.

 

Prom committee meeting next Wednesday, October 6 in Mrs. Peterson’s room during lunch! 

 

Picture forms for the homecoming dance will be in the wall pocket in front of the office.

 

STUDENTS – the cafeteria will not serve breakfast after the bell rings in the morning.  You are not to

go to the cafeteria and ask for breakfast after classes begin.  If you plan on eating breakfast at school, get to the cafeteria as quickly as possible and then go to class.  You are not to be tardy for class because of breakfast.

 

The homecoming dance will be Saturday, October 2 from 8-11:15 p.m.  Cost is $5 to get in.

The homecoming dance will be Saturday, October 2 from 8-11:15 p.m.  Cost is $5 to get in.  Anyone wishing to bring a visitor MUST register their guest in the office by 3:30 p.m. today.  Guests must be a high school student and under 20 years of age.  Sign up before school, after school, or during lunch – not during class time.

 

Friday’s spirit theme is red, black and white day.  Show your school spirit!
