Congratulations to the Student of the Week – Garrett Wilson. 

 

Lifetouch picture re-takes are scheduled from 11:30-2 today in the auditorium.

Seniors – it’s the time of year that you need to come up with the class song, class motto, and class flower.  Remember that you need to turn in the lyrics of your song with the song you nominate for class song.  Please put your suggestions on the sign up outside Ms. Morse’s room.   Suggestions are due by Friday, November 2!

 Segment 1 classes for North Star Driving School begin Monday, November 5 at 3:45 p.m. at the high school.  Registration forms are located in the wall pocket outside the office.

COUNSELOR’S CORNER   Dual Enrollment registration for 2nd semester is the beginning of November.  If you are interested in taking a Dual Enrollment course next semester, see Mrs. Richardson a.s.a.p.   Seniors – scholarship information has been updated on the website.  There are a couple of local   scholarships (for LCHS students only) so be sure to check them out!   Kirtland Community College will be here on Wednesday, October 31.  You may sign up in the office during lunch or before or after school.   ATHLETICS   Senior Athletes – applications are available for the MHSAA-Farm Bureau Scholar Athlete Award.   Lake City may submit applications for three boys and three girls.  See Ms. Gilson for eligibility requirements and an application.  Deadline for application is Wednesday, November 19.   Wrestlers – MC Sports is offering a 20% discount on wrestling shoes and knee pads.   The winter sports season is just around the corner.  Girls basketball begins Monday, November 5. Boys basketball and wrestling begins Monday, November 12.  You must have a current physical on file before the first practice, or you may not participate.  Questions? See Ms. Gilson.
