Congratulations to the Student of the Week – Hannah Burkholder.

 

Freshmen class officers – there will be a meeting tomorrow during lunch in Mrs. Thom’s room. 

 

Social Studies tutoring is scheduled for today after school in Mr. Nederhood’s room.

 

English tutoring is scheduled for tomorrow after school in Mrs. Phillips’ room until 4 p.m.

 

Big thank you to the seniors who helped with the fifty-fifty last Friday night at the football game.

Crystal, Taylor, Nick, Amanda, and Sarah you did your class a huge favor last Friday night.

 

Sophomores - there will be a class officer meeting today during lunch.

 

Courtesy Driving School will offer the following driver education classes at Lake City High School:

Segment I starting November 4, and Segment II starting November 25.  To register call 800-256-9559.  You may also obtain additional information by visiting courtesydrivingschool.com.

 

COUNSELOR’S CORNER

 

The first local scholarship for the seniors is out.  The Masons offer two scholarships just to Lake City seniors – the Beacon Scholarship and the Floyd Helsel Memorial Scholarship.  See Mrs. Richardson for an application.  Applications are due Friday, November 22.

 

Ferris State University will be here Wednesday, October 16.  Sign up in the office to see them before school, after school, or during lunch. 

 

ATHLETICS

 

We will take orders for football playoff shirts this week only.  Pick up your order form from the athletic

wall pocket.  ALL ORDERS, with payment, must be in to Ms. Gilson by 3:30 p.m. on Friday,

October 18.

 

SENIOR ATHLETES – applications are available for the MHSAA/Farm Bureau Scholar-Athlete Award.  You must have a gpa of 3.5 and must have earned your varsity letter.  See Ms. Gilson for an application.  All applications are due by Friday, November 22.
