STUDENT ANNOUNCEMENTS

Wednesday, October 02, 2013

Congratulations to the Student of the Week – Nicholas Sherlock.

Don’t forget about the homecoming bonfire tonight from 6:00-8:00 p.m.  Meet on the practice field behind the high school (across from Foster’s).  If there is inclement weather, meet in the cafeteria.

The homecoming dance is scheduled for Saturday, October 5 from 8-11:15 p.m.  Anyone wishing to bring a visitor must register their guest in the office.  All guests must be registered by 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 3, and must be under 21 years of age.  Sign up before school, after school, or during lunch - not during class time.

Remember to get your spirit points during the first ten minutes of lunch. Freshmen go to Mr. Prielipp, sophomores to Mr. Bongard, juniors to Mrs. Clous, and seniors go to Mrs. Phillips.  The race to the spirit trip is heating up! Remember that tomorrow is super hero day!

The sophomore class will be selling LC cinch sacks this week during lunch for $10.  If you would like to see what they look like before then, stop by Mrs. Clous’ room.

Math tutoring is scheduled for tomorrow in Mr. Thom’s room.

Freshmen float builders - we need your help finishing up the float today after school until the bonfire.  We will be working in the maintenance garage between the high school and the middle school.

Seniors – the pizza kit fundraiser arrives tomorrow.  Please make arrangements for pickup and delivery.

There will be a short practice for all homecoming representatives second hour tomorrow (Thursday).  Representatives are to report to class for attendance and then go directly to the gym.

COUNSELOR’S CORNER

There will be a meeting for all previous Go To Team members, grades 10-12, tomorrow during 3rd hour in Mrs. Peterson’s room.  Go to your class for attendance before you come to the meeting.

Volunteers are needed to help out at the Lake City Chamber of Commerce Annual Banquet.  It will be held on Tuesday, October 15 at the American Legion.  Volunteers will need to be there by 5:45 p.m. and will be done by 7:30 p.m.  You will get a free dinner for helping to clear tables, serve coffee, and clean up.  Sign up in Mrs. Richardson’s office for a community volunteer experience.
