Congratulations to the Student of the Week – Bethany Elders.
Freshmen – Yankee Candle orders are due on Wednesday, November 13. Products will be delivered before Christmas.
Baker College of Cadillac is offering segment I driver training starting Thursday, November 7. Forms are available outside the office or you may contact Mr. Yeomans.
Sophomores – today is your last chance to turn in Scrip fundraisers. Turn your orders and payments in to Mrs. Clous before you leave today.
English tutoring is scheduled after school today in Ms. Morse’s room.
NHS – there will be a meeting tomorrow morning at 7:51 a.m. Please be on time and bring your planners. Also, elder members, remember to touch base with one of the inductees so you can turn in an intro tomorrow.
COUNSELOR’S CORNER
There will be a full Go To Team meeting this Thursday, during 3rd hour in Mrs. Peterson’s room. Please check in with your teacher for attendance before you go to the meeting. Let Mrs. Richardson or Mrs. Peterson know if you are not able to be there.
Registration for dual enrollment through Mid-Michigan Community College for 2nd semester is open. If you are interested in dual enrollment for 2nd semester, see Mrs. Richardson for eligibility requirements and enrollment information.
The University of Michigan Flint and Northwestern Michigan University will be here tomorrow. Sign up in the office during lunch or before or after school.
ATHLETICS
Congratulations to the JV Volleyball team on winning the Highland Conference this year!
Freshmen boys interested in playing basketball, and sophomore boys not playing football, please meet in the auditorium during lunch today at 12:10 to talk to Coach Marion.
There will be a spec bus to Lincoln-Alcona this Saturday. Bus will leave at 9:45 a.m. There are 40 seats available. Cost is $3.00 and you must pay when you sign up. Sign up in the office by noon this Friday.
SENIOR ATHLETES – applications are available for the MHSAA/Farm Bureau Scholar-Athlete Award. Lake City can submit three girls and three boys. You must have a gpa of 3.5 and must have earned your varsity letter. See Ms. Gilson for an application. All applications are due by Friday, November 22.
