Congratulations to the Student of the Week – Bethany Elders.
Baker College of Cadillac is offering segment I driver training starting tomorrow. Forms are available outside the office or you may contact Mr. Yeomans.
Science tutoring is scheduled after school today in Mrs. Thom’s and Mrs. VanderBrook’s rooms.
Seniors – you have a class meeting Friday at 3:05 p.m. in the auditorium.
COUNSELOR’S CORNER
Seniors – Mrs. Richardson has applications for the Mason Scholarship. Applications need to be turned in by Friday, November 22. Remember that four letters of recommendation are required to be turned in with your application.
There will be a full Go To Team meeting this Thursday, during 3rd hour in Mrs. Peterson’s room. Please check in with your teacher for attendance before you go to the meeting. Let Mrs. Richardson or Mrs. Peterson know if you are not able to be there.
Registration for dual enrollment through Mid-Michigan Community College for 2nd semester is open. If you are interested in dual enrollment for 2nd semester, see Mrs. Richardson for eligibility requirements and enrollment information.
ATHLETICS
Varsity volleyball district match @ Kalkaska, match begins at 7:30 p.m., bus departs at 6:15 p.m.
There is a meeting in Mr. Prielipp’s room this Friday during lunch for anyone interested in playing girls basketball.
Girls basketball practice begins Monday, November 11. The 9th and 10th grade will practice from 3:30-5:00 p.m., and 11th and 12th grade from 5-6:30 p.m. You must have a current physical on file with the athletic department.
Cheer tryouts for the winter season will be held November 12, 13, and 14 in the band room from
4-5:30 p.m. You must have a current physical on file with the athletic department.
There will be a spec bus to Lincoln-Alcona this Saturday. Bus will leave at 9:45 a.m. There are 40 seats available. Cost is $3.00 and you must pay when you sign up. Cost of admission is $5.00 at the gate. Sign up in the office by noon this Friday. Middle school and elementary students must be accompanied by an adult.
SENIOR ATHLETES – applications are available for the MHSAA/Farm Bureau Scholar-Athlete Award. Lake City can submit three girls and three boys. You must have a gpa of 3.5 and must have earned your varsity letter. See Ms. Gilson for an application. All applications are due by Friday, November 22.
