There is a community pig roast presented by Lake City Area Schools and Ebel’s General Store on Tuesday, June 14 from 4-7 p.m. in the Lake City High School back parking lot. A free will offering will be accepted toward the meal. Donations will be accepted and will go towards the new Community Center.
Honor roll day is this Wednesday. Check in first hour and there will be an announcement for you to be released. Don’t forget to bring your own snacks and drinks, lunch will be provided. Please remember to bring your own beach attire, towel, sunscreen, and games (such as Frisbee or football).
There will be locker clean out Thursday during AI.
COUNSELOR’S CORNER
If you are looking for some part time summer work, people are looking for students to babysit, do yard work, and mow lawns. See Mrs. Richardson ASAP if you are looking to make some extra money and have a way to get there.
There will be a bus going to Ferris State University on Wednesday, for 10th and 11th graders interested in attending the visit. You must sign up in the office today and permission slips must be in tomorrow! You also need to provide your e-mail, then a link will be sent to you to register with Ferris online. This must be done by the end of the day on Tuesday. If you signed up and did not provide your e-mail, please put it on the sign-up sheet asap and make sure that you do the online registration.
If you are a female going into 9th – 11th grade, and interested in Engineering, Wolverine Cooperative was awarded a full scholarship to give away to a student who wants to attend Michigan Technological University’s summer “Women in Engineering” camp that takes place the 3rd week in June. To apply for the camp and to be able to attend all expenses paid, see Mrs. Richardson ASAP.
Summer Credit Recovery forms are available in the office and due this Friday to Mrs. Richardson. The session will run on school days from June 16-28 from 8:30–2:30 each day.
ATHLETICS
Varsity boys track - turn in your uniform washed, in a shopping bag with your name on it, to
Mr. Nederhood in his room ASAP!
Varsity Track banquet will be tonight at 6 p.m. in the cafeteria.
All members of the golf team – the golf banquet will be held next Friday, June 10 at 5:00 p.m. at the golf course. Please see Mr. Vasicek for details. Also, all golf uniforms and equipment are due before the banquet.
