Seniors – now is the time to turn in your senior picture, baby picture, and a quote.  Submit these items to Mrs. Atkins, Brittany Goudos-Weisbecker, or Brittany DuVall.  All items need to be turned in by Friday, December 21!

 

Congratulations to our Student of the Week – Brandon Hicks.

 

Candy-grams! Get your Candy-grams! Student Council will be selling them for $1 through Friday at lunch. They will be delivered the day before Christmas break. 

 

SOPHOMORES – if you were not able to pick up your class ring on Wednesday, see Ms. Gilson.  She will have them in the office until Tuesday, December 18.

 

The pencil machine is restocked with mechanical pencils for 50 cents each.  Please see

Mrs. VanderBrook if you have any difficulties getting a pencil out.

 

The Missaukee County Road Commission requests your cooperation through the winter months while snowplowing is taking place. Please be aware of the fact that the plows are on the roads many morning at the same times that the buses are picking up students.  Make sure you wait safe distance from the plowed portion of the roadway until the bus actually arrives at their stop.  It is important that we work together to make certain of student safety.  If you have questions regarding the above or any other snow removal problems, feel free to call Kelly Bekken, manager of Missaukee County Road Commission at 839-4361.

 

YACsters - there will be a brief meeting in Ms. Morse’s room at lunch today.  You need to count your goodies.  Remember we will be taking them to Mrs. Gill at noon on Monday.

NHSers - there will be an NHS meeting this Wednesday, November 28 at 7:46 a.m. in Ms. Bernier’s room.  Please be on time and bring your planners.

 

Student council members - we are going shopping for Hoops after school today.  We will have a short meeting after school in Mrs. VanderBrook’s before going to Cadillac.  You are responsible for finding transportation to and from Cadillac.

HATS ON DAY!  Anyone who wants to promote Stand-up to Bullying and Tolerance of Others may wear a hat and a sticker tomorrow, for a $1.00 donation.  You will be able to purchase your sticker and hat-wearing privilege in the morning at each high school building entrance.  You must have a No Bullying sticker visible to wear your hat.  Anyone wearing a hat that is not properly supporting our tolerance of others/anti-bullying will be asked to remove their hat.  So pick out your favorite head covering to support this awesome cause.

Congratulations to the Student of the Week – Kory Root.

 

HATS ON DAY!  Wednesday anyone who wants to promote Stand-up to Bullying and Tolerance of Others may wear a hat and a sticker, for a $1.00 donation.  You will be able to purchase your sticker and hat-wearing privilege in the morning at each high school building entrance.  You must have a No Bullying sticker visible to wear your hat.  Anyone wearing a hat that is not properly supporting our tolerance of others/anti-bullying will be asked to remove their hat.  So pick out your favorite head covering to support this awesome cause Wednesday.

 

The library has taken down the girls volleyball pictures.  Please stop by the library if you would like your picture.

 

The annual food drive has begun. Please bring in non-perishable food to your class advisor’s room through Tuesday, November 20. Not only will you be helping those less fortunate, but your class will grab a percentage of the 40 spirit points up for grabs.

 

Seniors - there will be a short class meeting 1st hour on Tuesday, November 20.  Be prepared to vote on class motto, song and flower.   Please check in with your first hour teacher for attendance and then head to the library

 

COUNSELOR’S CORNER

 

Seniors who are re-taking the ACT in December – their new policy of having a photo uploaded is now being strictly enforced.  The deadline to upload a photo for the December test is Tuesday,

December 4.  If you do not do it by then, your registration will be cancelled and you will not be able

to test!

 

Tutoring is scheduled for Wednesday, November 21 with Mrs. VanderBrook. 

 

ATHLETICS

 

GIRLS BASKETBALL – you will be dismissed at 3:15 on Tuesday, November 20 for your scrimmage at Roscommon.  You are to collect whatever you are taking with you and board the bus as quickly as possible.

 

SENIOR ATHLETES – if you plan to apply for the MHSAA Farm Bureau Scholarship – your application is due to Ms. Gilson today.
