SENIORS – your cap and gown paks will be distributed Wednesday, May 14 during lunch.  Pick up location will be the room next to the trophy case in the lobby.  If you have questions see Ms. Gilson.

 

Congratulations to the forensics team for coming in 6^th overall at the State tournament this past weekend and bringing home another silver plate!  Individually Tyler Bergey and Collin Hinkston came in 4^th in duo for their performance of “Of Mice and Men”.

With the school year almost over students will no longer be able to charge lunch in the cafeteria.  You may deposit money in your account or pay as you go.  Any student who has a charge will need to pay the amount owed before school ends.

Congratulations to Mr. Castillo and the high school industrial arts program for their performance

at the Michigan Industrial & Technology Education Society competition held on Friday, April 25.

The alternative education class earned a first place for their chest of drawers and was awarded

Best of Show.  Those students are: Kelsey Clark, Scott Couch, Jake Hansen, Avoryonna Harper, Shelby LaForest, Jared Lyle, Matt Olsen, Jenny Pauley, Danielle Reynolds, Naomi Snyder, Justin Trafford, and Brittney VanDuinen.

 

Students placed as follows:  1st – Tyler Lockwood, Emilie Lolk-Ottosen, Noah Snyder, and Jordan Trumble; 2nd – Justin Balcer, Cody Burns, Cassie Drouillard, and Zach Henry; 3rd – Gregory Courtade, and Marcus Musselman; 4th – Michael Sanderson; 6th – Charles Richards; Honorable Mention – Levi Aten and Zach Henry.  There were ten eighth grade students receiving awards for their projects also.  The 16 projects that placed 1st-4th will advance to the state competition this Thursday and Friday.

After Prom starts at 12:00.  You must be there NO LATER than 12:30.  If you are not, you will be denied entrance and parents will be called.  We will be collecting car keys when you arrive and will return them after the event.  If you choose to leave before 4:00 a.m. your parents will be notified.

Senior Oscar Night is tomorrow at 7:00 p.m., but it’s not just for seniors. Come help celebrate four years of greatness as we hand out awards such as Best Looking, Most Athletic, and Most Likely to Get a Useless Degree. Live performances include Joe Liestenfeltz and Laraiah Schichtel, Jacob McDaniel, and Nate & Annie, as well as others. It’s sure to be a memorable night. Three dollars will get you in the door, and remember to dress to impress - it is the Oscars!

Congratulations to the Student of the Week – Bethany Flint .

 

Prom tickets will be on sale until the week of prom. Tickets are $27.50 each or $50 for a couple. 

 

If your date for prom is not a Lake City High School student, you must register that person in the high school office.  The registration form will be available Monday, April 21. 

 

Don’t miss out on After-Prom this year, it is going to be a great time! Sign- up sheet is on

Mr. Prielipp’s window. We need your name, parent’s name, phone number, and t-shirt size.

 

Seniors - your senior trip must be paid for by Friday or contact Mr. Bongard personally to make other arrangements!  There is a list posted outside Mr. Bongard’s classroom of students paid in full.

 

Mobile dentist will be here Monday, April 28 and Tuesday, April 29.  If you have any questions, please contact Miss Holly.

 

Math tutoring is scheduled for Thursday, April 17 in Mrs. VanderBrook’s room.

 

NHS - there will be a meeting tomorrow in Ms. Bernier’s room at 7:51 a.m.  Please be on time.

ATHLETICS

All softball and baseball games have been cancelled today.  Softball will practice at 3:30 and baseball will practice at 5:00 at the middle school.

 

Golf practice has been cancelled today.

 

There is a YAC meeting tomorrow morning in the library at 7:40am.
