Take driver education in a convertible with Mr. Yeomans at Baker College.  Class begins April 26.  Sign up forms are located in the wall pocket outside the office or see Mr. Yeomans at lunch.

 

Alec Ash’s burial will take place on Saturday, April 17 at 1:00 p.m. at the cemetery north of Lake City on M-66 – the east side of the road.

 

The last day to buy a yearbook for $35 is TODAY!  Get your deposit to Mrs. Atkins or another yearbook student.  After tomorrow, the price will increase to $45.  If you fail to order a book this spring, the cost will be $50 in the fall.

 

Don’t miss the first Mr. Lake City Pageant tonight at 8:00 p.m. in the gym.  Doors open at 7:30 p.m. Cost is $4.00 per person.  You will need to bring coins to vote for your favorite contestant in the swimwear competition.

 

Effective April 23, high school students will no longer be able to charge lunch in the cafeteria.

 

You must turn in your after-prom contracts and money to Mrs. Phillips, Ms. Bernier, or Maelynn Gallop before 3:30 today in order to receive your t-shirt.

 

SENIORS – your Jostens order will be delivered today during lunch.  You must pay for your order before you pick it up.  Please do not leave cash in your locker - you may leave it in the office.  If you have any questions see Mrs. Hose.

The last day to buy a yearbook for $35 is TOMORROW!  Get your deposit to Mrs. Atkins or another yearbook student.  After tomorrow, the price will increase to $45.  If you fail to order a book this spring, the cost will be $50 in the fall.

 

JUNIORS – the pop can drive for after-prom activities has been cancelled.

SOPHOMORES – don’t forget about finding drivers for our can/bottle drive!!  Please let Mrs. Peterson or Mrs. Atkins know ASAP if you find someone to drive.  Remember the more people that help, the more money we earn.

We have scheduled a time to clean out lockers this Thursday, March 25 during 6th hour.  Students will be dismissed to clean their lockers in this order:  9th grade 1:30-1:40, 10th grade 1:40-1:50, 11th grade 1:50-2:00,

12th grade 2:00-2:10.

 

Prom is only a month away!  Tickets will go on sale after spring break.  Prom is scheduled for Saturday,

April 24 from 8-11:30 p.m. at Fox Hill in Cadillac.  Cost is $25 per person, and tickets will include a small photo package, a jump drive with your printable photo, and your choice of approximately 20 other candid dance photos that you can download from LifeTouch’s web site.

 

GOVERNMENT AND ECON STUDENTS – if you are attending the Governor’s Breakfast on Wednesday, March 24 you need to give your permission slip to Ms. Gilson by March 23 (that’s tomorrow).  Remember to dress appropriately – no jeans or t-shirts.    The bus will leave the school at 7:25 a.m.  MORNING CTC students attending the breakfast will be dropped off at CTC.

Lake City High School’s First Annual Super Awesome Fun Night is TONIGHT from 6-10:00 p.m.  There will be games, movies, video games, art projects, basketball, volleyball, snacks, and hanging out.  We also run a scavenger hunt (through-out the high school) with prizes awarded, and a dance at 9:30 in the gym. The cost is $2.00 and proceeds will go to the Challenge Day fund for next year.  Come join everyone for a great time!

Lake City High School’s First Annual Super Awesome Fun Night is this Friday from 6-10:00 p.m.  There will be games, movies, video games, art projects, basketball, volleyball, snacks, and hanging out.  There will be a scavenger hunt (through-out the high school) with prizes awarded.  There will be a dance at 9:30 in the gym. The cost is $2.00 and proceeds will go to the Challenge Day fund for next year.  Come join everyone for a great time!

JUNIORS – applications for the Alexander Hamilton Citizenship Achievement Award are available at www.hamiltonfriends.org.  This is a $500 cash award that also awards paid leadership training, and college prep assistance.  It is for juniors who are college bound, have a strong record of community services, show strong commitment to academic studies, are a self-starter, show passion and commitment to their interests, and show financial and/or personal need.  Applications are due by April 16.  Information is posted on the school website.
