AFTERNOON CTC STUDENTS – if you do not have a scheduled class during 4th hour, the high school hallway is off limits to you.  You must wait in the lobby for the CTC bus. 

 

Mobile Dentist will be providing free teeth cleaning Thursday and Friday, April 18 and 19.  Registration forms are outside the office or see Ms. Holly.

The first day of practice for spring sports is Monday, March 11.  You must have a current

physical on file with the athletic department.  No physical – no practice.  Softball will practice

from 4:30-6:00, track from 6-7:30, and baseball from 4:30-6:00 at the middle school.  Golf

will meet in room 26 on Tuesday, March 12 from 3:30-5:00.  If you have questions, see your

coach or Ms. Gilson.

Test Fest is scheduled for Tuesday, March 5.  Seniors will not attend school that day.  Seniors may go to CTC, so let Ms Gilson know as soon as possible if you plan to attend.  We will run a bus.  Room assignments for 9th-11th grade students have been posted.  Students may sign out at 1:00 p.m. after testing, with a note from parents.

 

9th and 10th grade students that do not have a calculator for the PLAN test on Tuesday, may check one out from Mr. Prielipp Tuesday morning before testing begins.

 

Juniors interested in having pizza pie in Mr. Bongard’s room must drop off money and sign up in his room today, so he can order accordingly.  Thanks, and may the odds be ever in your favor.

It will be a great night of entertainment with prize drawings, a 50/50 raffle, half-court shoot-out, and more.  Cost is $3.00 for adults, $2.00 for students, and $10.00 for families.  The game begins at 7:00 p.m. – doors open at 6:00.  All proceeds will be donated to the boys basketball program.

The student council would like to thank the participants and audience for a great Mock Rock Saturday night. The Lake City Bellas won in the individual category, and the prize of going on the Spirit Trip. The sophomores won the class entries with their rendition of “Single Ladies” by Beyoncé. After all the spirit points were totaled from this school year, the junior class wins the right to go on the Spirit Trip. The student council will be finalizing plans soon, so juniors be on the look-out to see if you attained the minimum number of points to go.

All elderly people need to be reminded (most likely several times) to get their spirit point at the beginning of lunch. Tomorrow is RED PRIDE FRIDAY, so support your school and wear the colors. Band members are leaving for festival at noon Friday, so check in for spirit points between 3rd and 4th hour. Everyone else check in at lunch.

The student council is sponsoring a "White Out" tomorrow night at the boys’ basketball games.

All spectators are asked to wear WHITE. Students will receive a spirit point if they check-in with

Mrs. Vanderbrook in the lobby between the two games.

 

Tuesday begins Chill-out Week. Dress as a “Fashion Disaster” and get your spirit point at the beginning of lunch.

SENIORS – pictures for the graduate composite will be taken Wednesday morning, February 20 in the auditorium.  Morning CTC seniors are to report to the auditorium before leaving or immediately upon return from CTC.  Seniors will be dismissed 4-5 at a time throughout the morning.

There will be a prom committee meeting in Mr. Bongard’s room today during lunch.
