Lifetouch picture re-takes are scheduled for Monday morning in the auditorium.

 

There will be no school tomorrow.  CTC students may attend CTC but must provide their own transportation.

 

Math tutoring is scheduled for today in Mrs. VanderBrook’s room at 11:40 a.m.

 

COUNSELOR’S CORNER

 

Northern Michigan University will be here Monday, October 20 at 1:30 p.m. in the library.  Northwestern Michigan College will be here Tuesday, October 21 at 8:30 a.m.  If you would like to meet with their representative, sign up in the office before school, after school, or during lunch.

 

There is an opportunity to volunteer on Saturday, October 25, from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.  at an event sponsored by the Lake City Womans’ Club.  If you are interested, let Mrs. Richardson know.  Remember – volunteer work looks great on applications and resumes!

 

The Wexford-Missaukee Career Technical Center is holding their annual open house tonight from 5–7 p.m.  It is open to anyone who wants to learn more about the center and programs they offer.

There is an opportunity to volunteer on Saturday, October 25, from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.  at an event sponsored by the Lake City Womans’ Club.  If you are interested, let Mrs. Richardson know.  Remember – volunteer work looks great on applications and resumes!

 

Tonight is college night at Cadillac High School.  It is from 6:30–8 p.m. in the auxiliary gym.  All juniors and seniors are invited and it is a great way to talk with reps and gather information from colleges.

TODAY – court members are dismissed at noon with a note from home.  You must sign out.  Band members are dismissed at 1:40.  All other students in the parade are dismissed at 1:55.  Students will stay in 6th hour until dismissed by a bell (approximately 2:25) to watch the parade.  Students will go directly to the gym after the parade.

 

Lifetouch homecoming portrait flyers are located in the wall pocket outside the office.

 

Census forms, internet forms, and lunch applications need to be turned in to the office today!

 

The homecoming dance is scheduled for Saturday, September 27 from 8-11:15 p.m.

Remember to get your spirit points if you dressed in camo today!  Check in at the beginning of lunch. Wednesday is color day.  Freshmen wear purple, sophomores wear green, juniors wear pink, and seniors wear orange.

 

Sign up for homecoming pep assembly games in the lobby during lunch today and tomorrow.

 

There will be an assembly first hour tomorrow to introduce our 2014 homecoming candidates for king and queen.  All students are to report to their first hour class for attendance.  Teachers will then escort their classes to the gym. 

 

Student council members will dismiss classes to report to Mr. Thom’s class, tomorrow during 5th hour to vote for king and queen.  Morning CTC students are to board the bus immediately after the assembly. Afternoon CTC students will vote for king and queen immediately following the assembly – meet in Mr. Thom’s classroom, then go to class. 

 

ALL STUDENTS – regarding dress up days.  We want you to have a great time with this – but

remember the dress code.  All dress must be appropriate or you will be sent home to change.

Baker College is offering Segment 1 Driver Education classes starting Thursday, October 23. Schedules are located in the wall pocket outside front of the office.

Juniors and seniors - Cadillac High School will be holding their annual College Night on Wednesday, October 15 at 6:30 p.m. in the auxiliary gym.  There will be many college representatives available.

 

CTC Agriscience and Natural Resources class will be offering an evening curriculum for grades 7–10 at CTC.  If you are interested, see Mrs. Richardson.

Sophomores - eat lunch then go to Mr. Thom’s room to vote online today for your homecoming reps.

 

SOPHOMORES – you will meet with the Jostens representative tomorrow during 2nd hour regarding class ring orders.  Go to 2nd hour for attendance and then report to the auditorium.

 

Happy first day of spirit week! Let’s talk spirit points. Each day your class can get up to 100 spirit points, including today, if 100% of your class wore their jammies to school. If you did, check in at the beginning of lunch as follows: seniors will go to Mrs. Baron in the library, juniors to Ms. Bernier, sophomores to Mr. Bongard, and freshmen see Ms. Morse outside the art room. If your class has the most spirit points on April 1, the members of your class with the most points will go on an all-expense paid trip to Grand Rapids with the student council. Don’t forget to dress for “Buck” hunting tomorrow!

 

There will be a meeting for all homecoming representatives 2nd hour on Tuesday, September 23.  Representatives are to go to class for attendance and then report to Mrs. VanderBrook’s classroom.

 

Sign up for homecoming pep assembly games in the lobby during lunch on Tuesday and Wednesday, September 23 and 24.

 

There will be an assembly first hour on Wednesday, September 24 to introduce our 2014 homecoming candidates for king and queen.  All students are to report to their first hour class for attendance.  Teachers will then escort their classes to the gym. 

 

Student council members will dismiss classes to report to Mr. Thom’s class, Wednesday during 5th hour to vote for king and queen.  Morning CTC students are to board the bus immediately after the assembly. Afternoon CTC students will vote for king and queen immediately following the assembly – meet in Mr. Thom’s classroom, then go to class. 

 

ALL STUDENTS – regarding dress up days.  We want you to have a great time with this – but

remember the dress code.  All dress must be appropriate or you will be sent home to change.

 

Don’t forget about the bonfire Wednesday, September 24 from 6:30-8:30 p.m.  Meet on the practice

field behind the high school (across from Foster’s).  If there is inclement weather, we will cancel.
