Congratulations to the Student of the Week – Hannah Burkholder.

 

Junior class officers – there is a meeting today at lunch in Mr. Prielipp’s room.

 

Science tutoring is scheduled today after school in Mrs. Thom’s and Mrs. VanderBrook’s rooms.

 

There is a meeting Friday at lunch in Mr. Prielipp’s room for girls interested in playing basketball.

 

Due to parent/teacher conferences, math tutoring is scheduled for tomorrow in Mr. Bongard’s room from 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.

 

Seniors - Friday is your deadline for class song, flower, and motto.  Mr. Bongard has several song choices, but no motto or flower choices.  We will have a meeting on Friday to vote.  If you have any preferences, or an opinion, please stop and share them with him.  Thank you.

 

Due to parent/teacher conferences, tomorrow will be a half-day of school with dismissal at 11:40.

 

Sophomores - we are selling 50/50 tickets during next Tuesday’s volleyball game and next Friday’s football game.  If you are interested in selling tickets, see Mrs. Clous or one of your class officers.

 

COUNSELOR’S CORNER

 

The first local scholarship for seniors is out.  The Masons offer two scholarships just to Lake City seniors – the Beacon Scholarship and the Floyd Helsel Memorial Scholarship.  See Mrs. Richardson for an application.  Applications are due Friday, November 22.

 

ATHLETICS

 

We will take orders for football playoff shirts this week only.  Pick up your order form from the athletic

wall pocket.  ALL ORDERS, with payment, must be in to Ms. Gilson by 3:30 p.m. on Friday,

October 18.

 

SENIOR ATHLETES – applications are available for the MHSAA/Farm Bureau Scholar-Athlete Award.  You must have a gpa of 3.5 and must have earned your varsity letter.  See Ms. Gilson for an application.  All applications are due by Friday, November 22.

 

Varsity volleyball athletes – stop by Ms. Gilson’s door by 3:30 p.m. this Friday and register your parents for parents’ night next Tuesday.
