Juniors who would like to help organize the Powder Puff volleyball game, there will be a meeting today at lunch in Mrs. Phillips’ room. Grab your lunch and come on down.
Juniors will be released at 10:45 today to the auditorium for a career and college presentation, and will be there until lunch. Seniors will be released to go to the auditorium for the presentation after 5th hour attendance. Seniors who have PM CTC may go to the morning presentation.
Seniors – your baby picture and quote are due by next week Friday. Your senior picture, with photo release is due by Friday, December 18. All items must be given to Mrs. Atkins. Also, if you plan on going on the senior trip, you need to pay your dues in full by Friday, January 8! No exceptions.
Any senior planning on going on the senior trip must attend the meeting tomorrow at lunch to discuss their own personal fundraising needs. If you are in CTC in the afternoon, please check with your advisors before you leave, or check with Mrs. Clous when you get back from CTC.
This week the Go To Team is sponsoring Be Nice week! If you notice a classmate, teammate, friend, teacher, or staff member going out of their way to be kind to someone else, you have a chance to recognize them. In the office (and in the teachers’ lounge for staff) there will be a Be Nice bucket and ballots. Please stop in to nominate anyone you see being extra nice! Spread some holiday cheer by treating each other nicely. An act of kindness goes a long way for the one being treated kindly, and for the one being kind. There may be fun rewards, too. J
Jostens will be delivering class rings in the library tomorrow morning through 9:00 a.m.
The sophomore class will be having a popcorn sale over the next few weeks for a Popcorn Day on Thursday, December 17. Popcorn will be $1 a bag. If you are interested in having popcorn delivered to you second hour that Thursday, come to the High School library and see Mrs. Baron.
Freshmen – we are doing a 50/50 raffle this Friday at the Girls basketball game. Please see Mrs. Peterson or Mrs. Atkins ASAP if you can help sell tickets.
Algebra tutoring is scheduled after school today in Mrs. VanderBrook’s room.
COUNSELOR’S CORNER
Seniors who were not at the Postsecondary Planning Evening can pick up a copy of the presentation and other material from Mrs. Richardson. Be sure to also get scholarships from the school website. The local scholarships are now posted!
ATHLETICS
Boys JV/Varsity basketball at Forest Area, bus departs at 4:45 p.m., game starts at 6:00 p.m.
Athletic pictures will be taken after school this Thursday for boys basketball and cheer. You will need your uniforms.
There are still Highland Conference volleyball shirts available. See Mrs. Vokes if you are interested.
Winter season passes are available in the athletic office or at any home game. $50 per family, $10 per student
