Seniors – College Goal Sunday is this Sunday at Baker College from 2-4 p.m.  If you need help filing the FAFSA, take your information and advisors will help you through the process.  This is a great opportunity to get assistance and get it done!

 

The Missaukee Conservation District is looking for several volunteers to serve at their annual dinner.  It is Monday, February 18 from 4–8:30 p.m. at Timber Wolf Lodge.  You will get a free dinner, get to listen to a national speaker and hear performers Seth Bernard and Daisy May.  This is a great opportunity to help within your community and a chance to get volunteer hours to put on applications and resumes.  Sign up in Mrs. Richardson’s office asap!

Sophomores – the Michigan Youth Leadership Conference (MYLead) will be held in May.  A local organization is willing to pay for and sponsor two of our students to attend.  It is at MSU and is a great opportunity to learn leadership skills and participate in a life changing experience with other students throughout the state.  If you are interested, see Mrs. Richardson asap.

The Missaukee County Road Commission.... ....requests your cooperation through the winter months while snowplowing is taking place. We ask that you be aware of the fact that the plows are on the roads many mornings at the same times that the buses are picking up students. We urge you to make sure that your children wait a safe distance from the plowed portion of the roadway until the bus actually arrives at their stop. It is important that we work together to make certain of their safety.


6th grade Camp Rotary health forms are due January 22.


8th grade Greenfield Village trip tuition money is due on January 18th.


High school weight room is open for any 8th graders, especially those who are planning on playing football next year. The weight room is open Mondays, Wednesday and Thursdays.


Missaukee Library Battle of the Books This week is your last chance to register for books. The program is free and open to 4th through 6th graders. Please contact Michelle at the library for more information – 839-2166.


Middle School Yearbooks Orders are now being taken for the 2012/2013 year books. Order forms are available in the office or the library. The cost is $15 and the deadline is March 15th.
