There is a prom committee meeting during lunch today in Mr. Bongard’s room.

 

All elderly people need to be reminded (most likely several times) to get their spirit point at the beginning of lunch. Tomorrow is RED PRIDE FRIDAY, so support your school and wear the colors. Band members are leaving for festival at noon Friday, so check in for spirit points between 3rd and 4th hour. Everyone else check in at lunch.

 

Any junior or senior boy that would like to participate in the Mr. Lake City contest on Saturday, March 23 please see Vicki Reid in the lobby during your lunch on Monday or Tuesday of next week.

 

Mock Rock 2013 is Saturday, February 23 at 7 p.m.  Cost is $2 per student.  A dance will follow in the cafeteria until 11:15, for $3. Music will be by Boo Larsen. A whole night of fun and entertainment for only $5!

Mock Rock 2013 is Saturday, February 23 at 7 p.m. with a dance to follow until 11:15. Music will be by Boo Larsen.

The student council is sponsoring a "White Out" tomorrow night at the boys’ basketball games.

All spectators are asked to wear WHITE. Students will receive a spirit point if they check-in with

Mrs. Vanderbrook in the lobby between the two games.

 

Tuesday begins Chill-out Week. Dress as a “Fashion Disaster” and get your spirit point at the beginning of lunch.

SENIORS – pictures for the graduate composite will be taken Wednesday morning, February 20 in the auditorium.  Morning CTC seniors are to report to the auditorium before leaving or immediately upon return from CTC.  Seniors will be dismissed 4-5 at a time throughout the morning.

Sophomores – the Michigan Youth Leadership Conference (MYLead) will be held in May.  A local organization is willing to pay for and sponsor two of our students to attend.  It is at MSU and is a great opportunity to learn leadership skills and participate in a life changing experience with other students throughout the state.  If you are interested, see Mrs. Richardson asap.

High school girls – the Annual Careers for Women Conference will be held on Tuesday, February 5 all day at Fox Hill Event Center in Cadillac.  Lunch is provided and there will be great speakers on non-traditional careers for women.  Sign up with Mrs. Richardson asap!

The 2013 yearbook is on sale now until Monday, February 11!  Orders may be placed with Mrs. Atkins or on-line at www.yearbookforever.com.  The cost of the book is $35.  If needed, you may place a $20 deposit now and pay the remaining balance when they arrive in May.  See Mrs. Atkins if you have any questions.

 

NHSers - please let Ms. Bernier know as soon as possible if you are interested in helping out with tickets or concessions at basketball games this Saturday.  Also, there will be a meeting tomorrow (Wednesday) morning at 7:48 a.m.

 

Seniors - this is your last chance to get your senior picture, baby picture, and quote to Mrs. Atkins for the yearbook.  If we do not receive a senior picture, we will be using your Lifetouch picture.
