8th Grade Orders for Books If you are in 8th grade and haven't received a book yet from Mrs. Haskin she has forms that you can look at. Mrs. Haskin will need the book form returned by Dec. 17, especially if you want a Mine Craft book. Thank you!


Middle School Dance This Friday is the second middle school dance from 3:05-5:00. The cost is $2. Pizza and pop will be sold. Jason Smith will dj again. Please have your ride here at 5:00.


Project Christmas Can Drive We are almost to 400 items for our food drive! We have two more days to collect food. Do you think we can hit at least 600 items before Thursday? I’ll bet you can!!! Remember to label your food with your Advisory Teacher’s name and bring them to Ms. Porter’s office in the morning before school.


Winter Book Fair The Winter Book Fair continues in the library through this Friday, Dec. 12. The hours available to shop are 8:00a-3:30p. Check it out for special Christmas gifts!


Honor Roll Event If you know that you have made the honor roll for fall quarter and haven't received an invite for this Friday's YMCA event please stop in to the office to pick-up paperwork today.

6th Grade-Ardis Missaukee Library Battle of the Books for 2015 The Ardis Missaukee District Library is pleased to present the 2015 Battle of the Books program for the 4th, 5th, and 6th graders in our community. The 6th grade teachers will have registration forms available for you. The forms need to be submitted to the library by Friday, January 9th.

The Go-To team is sponsoring a “hats on day” to promote anti-bullying and tolerance for others on Friday, November 21.  Donating a dollar will get you a sticker to wear showing your support.  The stickers will be available for purchase at each entrance.  So pull out your best hat and your dollar to support a safe school environment.  Your anti-bulling sticker must be visible or you will not be allowed to wear your hat.

Attention all students – the yearbook class has a new app on the app store.  It is called “yearbook snap.”  This app allows students to submit any cool photos by smartphone or tablet.  Whether you are at a sporting event, class meeting, or any other school related activity, this is a great way to see your photos appear in the yearbook.  All you have to do is download the app. Search Lake City High School, and enter in the password.  Our password is “trojans” with no capitals.  Have fun and we hope to see your awesome pictures soon!

JV/Varsity volleyball vs NMC, home, match starts at 6:00 p.m.

Tonight is our last home volleyball match.  It is also Dig Pink Night and parents’ night.  Come out and support the team - wear pink and support a worthy cause.

 

Pre-season conditioning for boys basketball will meet at the track from 3:30-4:40 today.

Congratulations to the Student of the Week – Micala Taylor.

 

Any student 16 or older who would like to donate blood next Friday, please sign-up with Cylee Burns or online on the school website. You get a free snack and juice, an hour out of class, and could save a life!

 

Science tutoring is scheduled for tomorrow in Mrs. Clous’ room.

 

Social Studies tutoring is scheduled for today in Mr. Nederhood’s room.

 

COUNSELOR’S CORNER

 

There will be a meeting for students interested in taking a Dual Enrollment or Independent Study class for 2nd semester on Wednesday, October 29 in the auditorium. If you are interested but cannot attend the meeting, see Mrs. Richardson.

 

ATHLETICS

 

Attention JV and varsity volleyball players - practice times today have been changed to JV from

3:30-5:00 and varsity from 5:00-6:30.

 

There will be a short sign-up meeting for boys interested in trying out for basketball from 12:10-12:30 today in the auditorium.

 

VOLLEYBALL AND CROSS COUNTRY ATHLETES: parents’ night is scheduled for tomorrow.  If you have not already registered with Ms. Gilson do so ASAP.
