Graduation practices have been scheduled for Thursday, May 24 and Friday, May 25, at 9:00 a.m. each day. Both practices are mandatory. It is important that you attend and are on time!

Missaukee Paddle Sports invites Lake City High School students to join our Lets Go Paddling! passport program for a summer of fun on Lake Missaukee. We offer canoes, kayaks, and new this year, stand-up paddle boards. Each pass includes unlimited canoe, kayak, and board rental on Lake Missaukee throughout the season, based on availability.
The cost is $30 per pass and can be purchased by contacting Missaukee Paddle Sports - 839.8265.

Seniors – your Senior Awards ceremony is tonight. Come and celebrate you, and your classmates', accomplishments. It begins at 6pm in the auditorium. Please dress appropriately for the semi-formal ceremony.

The American Legion is looking for 4-5 high school students again this year that will help place flags at the cemeteries north of town for Memorial Day. They would like to do it one day next week about 4pm. If there is enough help, it will only take about an hour. They count on our students each year to help and it is a great way to volunteer and give time to your community. See Mrs. Richardson a.s.a.p. if you are interested.

Today is the final day for Fine Forgiveness Days in the High School Library. Come on in and have your fines forgiven just by asking. The policy is as follows: 1. if you have a library fine, come to the library and tell us you have a fine that you want forgiven and we will clear your account. 2. If you have an overdue book, bring it in and we will forgive all of your fines. 3. If you have a lost book and only a little bit of money, bring it in and we will take whatever you can give us for your lost book and clear your account. 4. Please note: this is not a yearly occurrence! We are doing this once as a trial. We are not banking on it happening again.

The CTC Building Class is offering a brand new program just for girls called “Tech Girls”. It is a specialty class for young women to get life skills in home repairs and maintenance and personal projects. It will be a lifetime benefit to be able to do exciting things in your home and save you money! If you are interested in learning more, see Mrs. Richardson. This is a great opportunity for senior girls who have a lot of room in their schedule!

The CTC Building Class is offering a brand new program just for girls called “Tech Girls”. It is a specialty class for young women to get life skills in home repairs and maintenance and personal projects. It will be a lifetime benefit to be able to do exciting things in your home and save you money! If you are interested in learning more, see Mrs. Richardson. This is a great opportunity for senior girls who have a lot of room in their schedule!
The Michigan Department of Transportation is looking for summer help. You must be at least 16 and be able to work 40 hours per week, Monday through Thursday, throughout the summer. Applications can be picked up at the Transportation Service Center at 7915 US 131 Highway in Cadillac (near the State Police Post, just past Highpoint and VanDries). Senior Oscar Night 2012 is finally here! Help celebrate the best (and worst) of the Class of 2012 tonight at 7:00 p.m. There will also be live performances by some of the best talent of LCHS. It’s sure to be a memorable night, so come dressed to impress and ready to be enthralled. Tickets are $3 each or $10 for the whole family. Seniors get in free!

What is Forensics? Isn’t that what they do on CSI? Come to the Food Factory on Sunday, April 29 at 6:00 p.m. to learn what Forensics is really about, because it is not all about blood and guts! Enjoy performances by your classmates at they prepare to advance to the state finals May 4 and 5 at Western Michigan University.

We will be back about 11:30 a.m. Seniors who have p.m. CTC can be dropped off at CTC on the way back. You are school excused for all of your a.m. classes, but may need to make up work that you miss.

We will be taking 2 busses over and back. This is an event being put on by CTC, Baker and many area businesses for all seniors within the ISD.
