Students going on the CMU trip tomorrow - meet in the lobby when the morning bell rings. Be sure to dress appropriately for weather and wear comfortable shoes for walking.  We will be taking a walking tour rain or shine, so a jacket and an umbrella would be a good idea.

Jostens will be here this Wednesday, October 12, during lunch to order graduation items.  If you received a student ID, but did not receive your pictures, please stop by the office. 

Courtesy Driving School will have segment two classes starting in November.  Information is posted on the bulletin board in the lobby and flyers are available in the office.

The Lighthouse Café in Lake City runs every 2nd and 4th Monday of the month.  They’re in need of 2-4 people to help them unload the truck of food from about 2-2:30 until 3:30 or if wanted, stay and help people load boxes until 5-5:30 p.m.  It is a great volunteer opportunity that will look good on scholarship applications and resume’s and is only two times per month.  If it can be worked out in your schedule to go, we will school excuse it.  We need people who will be consistent.  Please let Mrs. Richardson know asap if you are interested.

Parent-Teacher conferences are today in teacher classrooms from 5-7 p.m. on tomorrow from    12:30-3:30 and 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Thursday.  Thursday will be a half-day of school and there will be no school for students on Friday.

All athletes and Physical Education students need to have the locker room cleaned out, and locks removed, before they leave for the day on Thursday.  The inside of the lockers are going to be cleaned on Friday.

Attention juniors - we will be dismantling the float this evening at 6:00 p.m. in the maintenance barn.  Please bring a pair of needle nose pliers to help remove all the staples.  Thank you!

So, you stumbled out of bed, dressed like Zack Hays, and now you want your Spirit Point.  Get it the first 10 minutes of lunch. Same locations as Monday, except the sophomores will go to Mrs. Baron in the library. Wednesday is Nerd/Geek Day.

 

Homecoming tickets will again be available in the lobby at lunch. $10 per person. Preferred parking in front of the school is included, plus not having to wait in line at the back of the school is priceless.

 

Homecoming photo package forms are available in the office.

 

Homecoming dance guest forms must be returned to the office by tomorrow.

A representative from Mid-Michigan Community College will be here Monday, September 26 at 1:30 in the library.  Sign up in the office during lunch or before or after school. 

 

ATHLETICS

 

Varsity Cross Country Highland Conference at McBain, dismiss at 2:00, depart at 2:15, starts at 4:30.

 

Varsity Volleyball vs Pine River, home, game starts at 6:00 p.m.

 

All boys planning on playing basketball this season - there will be a fitting for shoes and warm ups on Tuesday, September 27 during your lunch. Please grab a lunch and come immediately to the auditorium. If you have questions see or contact Coach Besko.

We’ve gone back in time! Now it’s time to get your Spirit Point for today, but it is only available during the first 10 minutes of lunch! Seniors should find Mrs. Scott in the lobby, juniors go to Mrs. Atkins’ room, sophomores to Mr. Thom, and freshmen to Ms. Bernier. Tomorrow is mismatch day.

 

The powder puff football game starts at 7:00 p.m. tonight at the football stadium.  Cost is $3 per person or $10 for family.  This is a Class of 2017 fundraiser.  Athletic passes will not be accepted.

The powder puff football game is this Monday at 7:00 p.m. at the football stadium.  Cost is $3 per person or $10 for family.  This is a Class of 2017 fundraiser.  Athletic passes will not be accepted.

 

Remember to dress up Monday for spirit points!

 

Sophomores – we will be float building Sunday from 10-4. 

 

Seniors – remember float building at the Trolz house from 3:45 until 7.

If you are bringing a guest to the Homecoming dance who does not attend Lake City Schools, please pick up a guest form in the office.  Forms must be returned to the office by Wednesday, September 21.  Guests must be under 21 and in good standing at their high school or place of employment.
