Seniors - remember to share your ideas for class motto, class song and class flower.  Write your ideas on the senior board outside Ms. Morse’s English room.  The deadline for submitting your ideas is this Thursday.  Also, your yearbook quote is due to Mrs. Atkins or Joe this Friday.

Michigan Youth Leadership is planning their annual MYLead Conference for current high school sophomores.  There are two conferences this year and our school can send up to four people.  They are held at MSU mid-May and June, Friday through Sunday.  Let me Mrs. Richardson know if you would like to be nominated to attend.

 

Seniors – today is the deadline to register for Mid-Michigan Community College’s Laker Distinction Scholarship Competition.  If you have a 3.5 GPA or higher, you may qualify for a full tuition scholarship.  See Mrs. Richardson if you have questions.

Students attending CAD Day at CTC tomorrow must report to their first hour class at 8:15 a.m.  to check in with their teacher and then report directly to the lobby to board the bus.  The bus needs to leave by 8:18 a.m.

Freshman, there are several items that we borrowed for float building that are now ready to be picked up in the high school library.  Please see Mrs. Baron if you loaned us items and are ready to take them home.

 

Sophomores – there is a class officers meeting in Mrs. Phillips’ room today at lunch.  Grab your lunch and come on down!

 

Courtesy Driving School will have driver education classes starting in November.  Information may be found in the wall pockets outside the office.

 

Baker College is offering segment 1 driver education classes staring Thursday, October 23.  Schedules are located in the wall pocket outside the office.

Varsity volleyball @ Ogemaw Heights, bus departs at 3:15 p.m., match starts at 5:00 p.m.

 

JV football vs McBain, home, game starts at 6:30 p.m.

SOPHOMORES – Jostens reps will be here today to take class ring orders.  See them during lunch in the library.

 

Juniors - there will be a prom planning meeting tomorrow during lunch in Mrs. Clous’ room.  All juniors are welcome to attend.  Also, if you have not paid your class dues, the cost this year is $15.  You can turn money in to Mrs. Clous or Mr. Bongard. 

 

The Mobile Dentist will be here Tuesday and Wednesday, November 11 and 12.  To take advantage of this convenient opportunity fill out the enrollment form located in the wall pocket outside the office.  Completed enrollment forms need to be returned to Holly Helsel by Friday, October 24.  If you have questions, please see Miss Holly or call her at 839-2665.

 

Math tutoring is scheduled tomorrow in Mrs. VanderBrook’s room.

 

Students:  if you park your car in the north parking lot (across from Fosters), you are to use the area east of the double doors.  This includes the gravel area.

The Youth Advisory Committee (YAC) is taking applications.  This group is open to any student interested in volunteering and helping out within their community.  See Mrs. Richardson to apply.  Applications are due Monday, October 6.  This is a great way to get involved and help in providing funds to local groups and organizations.

 

Juniors and seniors - Cadillac High School will be holding their annual College Night on Wednesday, October 15 at 6:30 p.m. in the auxiliary gym.  There will be many college representatives available.
