Prom tickets will go on sale Monday, March 26 during lunch.  Cost is $30.00 per ticket – that includes your picture, a photo keychain, snacks, and drinks.  Prom is scheduled for Saturday, April 14 at The Eldorado in Cadillac.

JUNIOR class officers – ALL OF YOU:  there will be a meeting in Ms. Morse’s room at lunch today.  Be there by 12:05.

 

How does having someone famous come to Lake City sound?  Lady Antebellum is having a prom contest.  It is simple – but LCHS students need to help!  Any interested students need to meet at 10:00 a.m. Friday morning (tomorrow) at the park by Dairy Queen.  We will go over plans to make a contest video.  We have to show town pride, so wear a Lake City shirt and come help.  The video is due by midnight on March 16, and we’ll know on March 20 who has won.  It will be lots of fun and maybe they will pick us!  It will make for a prom to remember!

 

Practice for Mr. Lake City is scheduled for tonight – 7:30-8:30 p.m. in the gym.

The third annual Mr. Lake City Pageant is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. this Friday, March 16 in the high school gym.  The emcees this year are Mr. Hinkston and Mr. Bongard.  Doors open at 6:00 p.m.  Cost is $3.00 for adults, $2.00 for students, and $10.00 for families.  Don’t forget – this is a fundraiser for after-prom, so support this night of awesome entertainment.

“Test Fest” is next Tuesday.  The schedule is as follows:

 

9th grade will be taking the PLAN test.

10th grade will be taking the Practice ACT.

11th grade will be taking the ACT on Tuesday, the Workkeys on Wednesday, and the

Michigan Component of the MME on Thursday.

 

All students 9th – 11th will be testing on Tuesday and being here and on time is VERY important. 

You may not enter a class once a test has started.  If you miss, you will have to make it up.

 

12th grade – you will have Tuesday off to do college visits, job shadows, and/or career research; you do NOT come to school on Tuesday. 

 

Please also note - busses will not be running to CTC on Tuesday.

BAND STUDENTS – you will be released at 11:20 a.m. today to eat lunch, get dressed, and load the busses for festival.  There will be no bell or announcement to dismiss you.  Your  teachers have a class roster and know who to release.  You are not to be in the high school hallway during this time – so take everything you need from your locker when you are dismissed.  The busses will leave at 12:00 noon

HEY GUYS – the 3rd Annual Mr. Lake City Contest will be held Friday, March 16.  Junior and senior guys are welcome to participate, however we will only take twelve contestants.  Sign up will be held today in the lobby during lunch and after school.  A parent will be there to answer questions.

 

Math tutoring is scheduled for today in Mr. Bongard’s room.

 

SOPHOMORES – you need to get the fundraiser money and order form to Mr. Castillo or

Mr. Bongard no later than the end of the day today.  If you cannot do that you need to speak to one of your advisors personally and not through another person.
